Custom Design Process

After working in the jewelry industry for over 7 years, I have often heard from my clients that they enjoy working with me because I am low pressure, and truly listen to what they are looking for in their jewelry.

Taking what I have learned, I aim to provide a shopping experience that is low pressure, comfortable, and FUN! How often do you get to design a custom piece of fine jewelry? I love to share in my customers excitement as we discover a design that is best for their taste and lifestyle.

At Emily Prchlik Fine Jewelry, we place our customers needs over anything. If our clients are unsure of exactly what they are looking for, we are more than happy to go on the journey with them as we discover which style suits their personality and lifestyle.

Design Consultation

We start all custom projects with an initial design consultation. We discuss the desired look of your jewelry, how we can design the piece to your lifestyle, and discuss what materials we will be working with. While the initial design consultation is no charge, we charge a $500 deposit to begin all custom projects, which is applied to the total balance of the final piece.

Once we receive your deposit we will begin work on your custom project. We produce a detailed rendering and wax model of the project for our next appointment. It will also allow all necessary stones to be ordered for your review.

Review Design

This is where the real fun begins! In our second appointment we review stones we sourced for you, the CAD design of the jewelry (you won't believe how realistic the renderings are!) and a 3D wax model of the piece. From here, we review the final price of the project. Once you approve the design, we take a 50% deposit to begin production of the final piece.

If there are any changes you would like to make to the design, this is the appointment to do it. We will make as many wax models as it takes to come up with a design you love!

Pickup

I don't think there is anything more fun in the world than picking up a custom piece of jewelry designed just for you. At this appointment, we deliver the final product and bid the piece farewell as it goes off to its new home. Once the remaining balance is paid, you will receive an appraisal certificate for your new piece of jewelry.
